The Dearborn Biking Crew officially started April, 2020

While many of the original crew members already explored our community on two wheels together, Dearborn Biking Crew was created to connect with the wider community. 

Starting a community group in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic may have seems crazy; build a community when we couldn't always get together was a challenge.

Our early days included online ZOOM calls to keep our connection alive. 

Many other groups and organizations canceled their group rides; but the desire and demand for group rides remained! To  keep some sense of normalcy we started riding when others stayed indoors.

This group is about connecting our Dearborn biking family, connecting the wider Detroit area biking community, and having fun. No drama, no controlling admins, no judging.
Just connect with each other and Ride! 

It's that simple.

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment.
Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required. We can always agree to disagree, that's what makes us healthy adults.
